Fecundity
My dark little shoes,
Heels pinched from where
I toed them off,Sleep on my stockings
On the floor by the door.
They’ve little shoe pillows. They’ve drunk enough
Rain water to drown
Two swallows.My blue feet snooze,
Heels on the tub edge,
Heels like paperweights,The tub edge as stirrups.
The embryo, like mountaineer,
Bivouacs in my wallAgainst my dark rush.
I, like shoes, am fuller
After rain.art by Catalina Ꮧ
